Registration for National Associations of ELACTA

Dear Colleagues,

Here you can register as a national ELACTA member association so that your association can be assigned a ‘group’ on this Lactation & Breastfeeding website and grant its members full-text access to all articles.

Only the president of your association or a person authorised by her should complete this form below.

What we need:

  • Your contact details (of the person who completes the form)
  • The full name of your association, the acronym (such as BDL, ACLR etc.), country and language(s) of your association
  • The current number of ELACTA members in your association according to the fee you pay to ELACTA (your group will be allocated this number of seats + 10% buffer). An estimate is enough, we will cross-check this data against the list of the ELACTA Board.
  • The official primary email address of your association which is going to be the ‘Group Owner’ and the email address and name of one or two ‘Group Admins’, who will be able to include and remove members.
  • A description text in your language for email invitations (a template will be provided)
  • A first group code for safe self-registration of your members

We will then set up a group for your association and contact you.

Further information:

We have set aside a whole year to add all non-German-speaking ELACTA members step by step and will support the national associations closely with the invitation of their members by email and Google MEET video conference, if desired. The existing method of accessing L&B issues (downloading the PDFs using a password) will remain in place during this transitional period.

Please complete the form below:

The name of the person who completes this form
This is the email address for the communication with site admin of L&B website. This can be your personal email address or an official email address of the president or a board member of your association. The main thing is that the email reaches you or the relevant person.
We will usually contact you by email, the phone number is only if we are not able to reach you by mail.
Please indicate the number of your members according to the fee you pay to ELACTA this year. This number (+10% buffer for new members during the year) will be the number of seats in your group which can be "filled" by your members. The number of seats will be adjusted every year. You can also provide an estimate here: The website administrator will adjust the exact number based on the list of the ELACTA Board.
Please enter here the main official email address of your association (e.g. president@...; info@...; secretary@... etc.). The 'Group Owner' is a technical word for the main account of a 'group' (in our case for a national association), so this will be the account of your association. It is created by the website administrator at the beginning.
Group admins can include and remove members just like the group owner. The first time, the website administrator can set the group admin(s) for you. Later on the group owner or other group admins can change this. The group admins will be registered at this website and need to set a passwort and can log in later. They will receive an email for this.
The email addresses of group admin(s) can be private or official as you wish. You can change this any time later.
Add a description text for email invitation in your language
Please add a description in your language(s) for email invitation for your members. You can find a template below that needs to be translated into your language(s). Later on you will be able to change the text on your own. Email invitations are one of three methods to add your members. It is up to you if you want to use this method or not.

SAMPLE TEXT (Please translate into your language(s), adapt and include in the field above)

Dear Colleague,

Members of the ‘Name of your Association’ are eligible for full-text access to all articles in the ELACTA journal Lactation & Breastfeeding, as well as the opportunity to earn CERPs by joining the group here. You are invited to join the L&B group of ‘Name of your Association’. Please click on the activation link below. This will confirm your acceptance of the invitation, grant you full-text access to all articles in the ELACTA journal Lactation & Breastfeeding, and make you eligible for CERPs tests. You can read the articles in any language by using Google Translate in the Chrome Browser, the Deepl Addon or other AI translation tools in other browsers.

By clicking on the activation link, you also agree to the Data Protection Declaration and the Terms and Conditions, and consent to receiving the newsletter, which provides information from the editorial team about new issues and the CERPs tests.

After clicking the activation link below, you will be automatically forwarded to the ‘Edit Your Profile’ page, where you can set your password and change your other login details. Please make a note of all your login details. You will need to log in to access the full texts. Please note that you can only be logged in on a maximum of three devices at the same time. You must not share your login details or downloaded PDFs of the articles with anyone!

Your President of  ‘Name of your Association’

Only numbers and small letters; This is your first group code. Later on, you will have to change the code regularly for safety reasons.
Consent
Consent is required in order to use the website - so that your association and you can be registered - and for essential information on the journal.

Now, we would like to find out which methods are best suitable for including existing members of your association and thereby granting them access to the full texts.

Has your board already received consent from your members, in accordance with the GDPR, authorising the sharing of their names and email addresses with ELACTA?
Once consent has been obtained, members’ email addresses can simply be added. This is a secure and straightforward way to grant access to all members. If no consent forms have been provided, members must self-register via the link https://elacta-journal.eu/elacta-members/ using the specific group code you have chosen. In doing so, they will give their consent.
How do you keep in touch with your members? (You may select more than one option.)
Members can scan a QR code for self-registration in letters or during face-to-face meetings. The self-registration link and the code can also be sent by email. In this case however, they should be separated to reduce the risk of fraud. If you have a members' area on your website, member details can be transferred – this means your members will have the same login details here.
How much support do you think you will need to include your existing members?
You’ll find links to guides at the top of this page and at the very bottom in the footer. We’ll be on hand to help you at the start if you need it. Later on, you’ll manage your members independently.
