Digital support in parenting and breastfeeding is no longer a futuristic concept, it is an essential component of equitable, compassionate care. This article explores how the Anya application provides timely, WHO Code-compliant support for families across the First 1001 Critical Days – the period from conception to age two – which is a crucial window for a child’s physical, emotional and cognitive development. During this time, optimal nutrition, nurturing relationships and a stable home environment significantly influence brain development (Likhar & Patil, 2022). Blending expert-reviewed AI content with human-centred support, Anya fills the gap between midnight worries and daylight appointments. As Clinical Lead for Parenting at Anya, I share my personal insights, ethical considerations, and surprising trends from the digital front lines of breastfeeding and early parenting support.
